Ravenna Park erratic, Seattle

Yet another report of an attractive urban erratic sent in by a reader, Jean Maier of Seattle.

There is a large granodiorite erratic in the creek bed at Ravenna Park. Read about the erratic here and get my take on the source of granodiorite erratics in the Seattle area. The field trip includes a nice stroll through an urban forest, complete with creek. I have a few more erratics to post, coming soon. Then, time to move on to other geology. Send your reports to me via comment or email.

email address to send reports and photos. I'll credit you.
