Field trip to collect augite crystals
A new trip ranges pretty far afield for this website, all the way to the northwest corner of Lewis County, west of the Centralia/Chehalis area. It gives directions to reach an occurrence of perfect dark black augite crystals, which is very unusual opportunity in Western Washington.
