Burke Museum Fossils

A Seattle Times article appeared on line today about the new “Cruisin’ the Fossil Freeway” exhibit at the UW’s Burke Museum. Written by Cathy McDonald, the exhibit combines the wild and whacky art of NW artist Ray Troll (famous for his “Salmon worship: is it Wrong?” T-shirts) with never-before exhibited fossils from the Burke collection. The Times webpage includes links to fossil localities, including a pitch to visit the public (and absolutely FREE, unlike the Burke) exhibits in the Geology Department at WWU.

Cathy McDonald has written an impressive list of articles about NW natural history, including a lot about geology.
